How to choose an evening dress

“Formal” and “soft” describe a photo, not your body. Before you buy, set the occasion, the length, and whether you will sit for a long time. Then match centimetres to the product chart.

Satin reflects light and shows tightness at the stomach. Leave room if you are between sizes.
Chiffon is lighter and works as a layer over a lining. Check whether the product text mentions a lining.
Crepe is quieter in photos. Creases show less than satin after a trip.
Heavy beading changes the weight. Check whether the store charges by weight. We do not assume a number.

SHEIN has dresses and plus size. Next Saudi Arabia sells womenswear and says it pays the duties. ASOS includes dresses and says worldwide delivery. Farfetch Saudi Arabia is designer fashion, and the page description says express delivery and free returns. We do not publish a dress price because prices move.

What counts as a formal dress?

There is no official scale. Cloth, detail, and the event are what you can judge from the product page. We do not grade a specific dress.

Should I order two sizes?

Only if that item’s return rules allow it. On SHEIN the first return of returnable items is free inside the window. That rule does not automatically apply to Next, ASOS, or Farfetch.
